Softshoe Museum

Project involvement: 1995-2000
A collaboration with: Boy & Erik Stappaerts (BE)

I collaborated with Boy & Erik Stappaerts over the course of several years, the results of which are many. It started as a project meant to promote the work of Boy & Erik Stappaerts, a drawer, painter and sculptor. Boy & Erik had conceived a complete Softshoe Museum with wall paintings and sculptures. He had realized some of these sculpture and hoped to one day realize the others. In fact, he was hoping to one day realize the complete museum.

In the meantime, instead of just presenting the plans and drawings of this envisioned museum and sculptures, we decided to create a high-quality 3D models of it.

Museum Sculptures

These are some of the 3D models (created using Lightwave) of the sculptures in the Softshoe Museum. The models were highly detailed to allow us to produce high-resolution prints for exhibitions.

CD/Rom

Satisfied with our collaboration and looking for a way to exhibit an integrated presentation of the original artwork as well as the digital material, we decided to create an interactive CD/Rom. I developed multiple versions of this CD/Rom using Macromedia Director. Several screenshots are shown below.
